The first successful test blast was conducted in their research of traumatic brain injury to better understand and  explore the effects on the brain from bomb blasts and explosions experienced by troops in the Middle East.

Alzheimer’s Drug and Head Trauma?

According to an article published in the HealthDay News. A study conducted on mice at the Georgetown University Medical Center discovered a new class of Alzheimer’s disease drug that suggests that it may help prevent long-term damage from traumatic brain injury.
