This Privacy Policy applies to all the products, services and Forum websites offered by Brain Injury Forum (hereinafter “Forum“, “Site“, “Us“, “Our“, “We“) or its subsidiaries or affiliated companies. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual, excluding business contact information. The following outlines how the “Forum“ handles personal information. Brain Injury Forum reserves the right to make changes without notice to its Privacy Policy and/or “Site“ as required, and as often as necessary. These changes may pertain and affect your use of your our “Site“. Accordingly, please check for changes regularly.

Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter “your user name“), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter “your password“) and a personal, valid e-mail address (hereinafter “your e-mail“). Malicious Content Any member posting, or attempting to post anything that you know may cause our visitors or systems to experience problems will face an immediate and permanent ban from the forum.

Advertising and Spam Advertising of another website, product or service is not allowed unless permission has been extended by the “Forum“ Administrator

Security Measures The Brain Injury Forum has established reasonable precautions to protect collected personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Please note that while the “Forum“ has endeavoured to create a secure and reliable “Site“ for users, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to / from the “Site“ via the “Site“ or email cannot be guaranteed.

Your Password Is ciphered (a one-way hash) so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account at “Brain Injury Forum“ so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with “Brain Injury Forum“, phpBB or another 3rd party, legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the “I forgot my password“ feature provided by the software. Governing Law / Jurisdiction: Compliance with Laws Access to this website is voluntary and is governed by Canadian Laws and or the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any legal action or proceeding relating to the user's access to, or use of, our “Site“ shall be instituted only in a provincial or federal court located in the province of Ontario, Canada. The user and Brain Injury Forum “Site“ agree to submit to the jurisdiction of, and agree that venue is proper in these courts in any such legal actions or proceedings.
